Connect TSI

Connect TSI is an highly reactive glyoxal-based crosslinkers, for improved wet surface strength.

Connect TSI offer improved wet surface strength by decreasing the water solubility and/or aqueous swelling of binders and fibers close to the paper surface. Connect TSI react mainly with the hydroxyl groups of water swellable binders such as starch, CMC, Poly Vinyl Alcohol, etc.

Connect TSI is in fact creating additional links between the binder polymer molecules, the cellulosic fibers and the filler or surface pigment particles furthermore it is a quickly crosslink binders as soon as water is evaporated from the paper surface in the drying section of the paper machine.

Connect TSI is used mainly in uncoated and coated offset printing paper, office paper, silicon-release carbonless paper as Multipurpose surface strength improver.

Connect TSI is resistant to high temperature (up to 70°C) and pH conditions in coating color (pH up to 9.5)and it is approved for food contact under BfR XXXVI and FDA 21 cfr. 176.180

Shelf Life

Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months
