Dehydroacetic acid (DHA)

Dehydroacetic acid (DHA) is a pyrone derivative and has a white crystalline powder physical aspect. It is almost insoluble in water and moderately soluble in most organic solvents.

Dehydroacetic acid (DHA) can be mainly involved in these industrial applications:

Preservative and Fungicide particularly indicated for food and cosmetic applications

Environmental friendly stabilizers for PVC films

Agrochemical : Used in the synthesis of Mepanipyrim 

Anti-Enzyme in toothpastes

Veterinary API : Used in the synthesis of Clopidol 

Precursor of dimethyl-4-pyridones
