Concat LA (Ammonium Lacto Titanate)

Concat LA Ammonium Lacto Titanate, (also known as Diammonium dihydroxybis[lactato(2-)-O1,O2] titanate(2-) or is a hydrolytically stable titanium chelate with lactic acid (ammonium salt) as the chelating agent.

Concat LA Ammonium Lacto Titanate is a water based titanium chelate that is stable in water at pH 7 even in the presence of possible reactants. It is stable so long as the pH is maintained around 7~8. This product can act as catalyst in applications such as esterification, trans esterification and condensation.

Some regular commercial applications include effective catalysts in paints, inks and coatings where Concat LA can crosslink binders in -OH functional water borne paints. Heating can be used to form a polymeric titanium dioxide layer used as binder coating on various substrates to effect e.g. adhesion, increased surface hardness, heat light reflection, corrosion resistance, scratch resistance.

Applications

Predominately used as a catalyst / adhesion promoter in Inks and Coatings
