Maleic acid copolymer (MACP) is a scale inhibitor for calcium carbonate and multifunctional formulation support agent in many industrial water treatment system.

Solubility:

Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) is soluble/miscible in Water and Ethylene glycol and methanol in all proportion.

If mixed with 50% caustic soda can be readily neutralized with evolution of heat

pH range:

To avoid precipitation, please avoid to formulate Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) below pH 2.5 or above pH 7.5.

At in use concentrations Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) is stable across the entire pH range.

Temperature:

Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) is stable at temperatures up to 200°C.

Oxidizing agent:

Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides under normal use conditions.

Maleic Acid Copolymer (MACP) is compatible with long chain nitrogen compounds, aliphatic amines and quaternary ammonium compounds.

 

Shelf Life:

Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.
