WinCon-8

​WinCon 8 is a developer for thermal paper coatings.

The color developers used in thermal paper are mainly derivatives of phenol. The color former and color developer are in direct contact with each other in the thermal coating layer. When heat is applied to the thermal paper, the color former and color developer melt together, and in doing so, generate the image.

Application

• WinCon 8 is the most widely used color developer in non-fax papers. It gives improved image stability compared with Bisphenol A (heat, oil, plasticizer). The use of a stabilizer is normally required to improve the light fastness.

Shelf Life

Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 36 months.
