Zirconium acetate (ZA)

​Zirconium Acetate (ZA) is an acidic solution containing neutral species based on a hydroxy-bridged zirconium polymer. It is a zirconium based reactive chemical, suitable for use in various applications including adhesives, antiperspirants, printing inks, oil production, paints, pigment coating and metal treatment.

Zirconium Acetate (ZA) can also be used in the manufacture of waterproof materials and fibers. It provides an ideal function of cross-linking between textile substrates and films of water-repellent waxy.

Further, Zirconium Acetate (ZA) finds its application in wax emulsions. In this case the zirconium forms a covalent bond between the carboxyl of the substrate and the cellulose-based wax.

Zirconium Acetate (ZA) can be used as binder in the refractory industry.

Another application of Zirconium Acetate (ZA) is as catalyst. Zirconium Acetate provides an ideal source of concentrated Zr ion, sodium chloride-free, ideal for use in several applications as a catalyst.

Concentration available

Connect Chemicals can supply two concentrations of Zirconium Acetate:; 22 wt% ZrO2 and 30 wt% ZrO2.

Shelf Life

Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.
