Apricot oil or apricot kernel oil is manufactured by being cold pressed from the kernels of Prunus armeniaca (apricot). Apricot kernels have an oil content of 40-50%.
Prunus armeniaca is a plant of the Rosaceae family that is rich in natural antioxidants, unsaturated acids and vitamin E.
Apricot oil has a calming effect on inflamed or irritated skin.
Very emollient and nourishing, it is used in the treatment of stretch marks, because it promotes the elasticity of the skin.
Apricot oil produces velvety and soft skin and supports the stimulation of the production of sebum in dry and sensitive skin.
Apricot oil is used for its protective action against external atmospheric aggressions (sun, cold, wind, etc.). It is an ingredient often chosen for treatment of capillary fragility and couperose (Rosacea).
