Functional Ingredients
Denatonium benzoate is a substance added to products for cosmetic and domestic use to prevent accidental ingestion. By adding Denatonium benzoate to cosmetic products such as shampoo it discourages possible ingestion.
Due to its extremely bitter and unpleasant taste to the added cosmetic it provides maximum security to the customer. In addition, Denatrol® can also be used in nail polish where it helps to fight against nail biting.
Dosage level
Recommended concentration: lower than 0.05%
Solubility: Soluble in isopropyl alcohol, methanol (50 mg/ml), and slightly soluble in acetone.
