Elixi-CARE MPDO, Methylpropanediol, is a clear, colorless liquid with a little to no odor. It is soluble in water and gives a soft non-tacky feeling when applied on the skin. It is a good replacement for glycols like propylene glycol. 

Elixi-CARE MPDO is used in skin care cosmetics as a solvent and allows other ingredients to be distributed on the skin equally. In addition, Elixi-CARE MPDO has good moisturizing properties, which are essential for healthy skin (the skin loses its ability to retain moisture with age).
