Lipids
Macadamia integrifolia nut oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the macadamia tree and subsequently refining it.
Macadamia is an evergreen plant native from Australia, whose oil is mainly composed of triglycerides, with the highest concentration of palmitoleic acid. This special feature makes it considered to be similar to skin lipids.
Macadamia oil helps the skin stay elastic and moisturized for a long time and is widely used in therapeutic and relaxing massages. As it promotes combability, it is also used as the basis of some shampoos or hair creams. Macadamia integrifolia oil is very nourishing and effective against dehydration, which is why it finds excellent application in lip balms and creams, as well as in anti-stretch marks and anticellulite products.
It is also used to balance scalp sebum, regulating lipid secretion and moisture. Because of its characteristics, macadamia oil is also often used in sunscreens, as it is very resistant to oxidation.
Macadamia oil can be recommended for nail strengthening treatment.
