Moringa oil is obtained from the seeds of Moringa oleifera (Moringaceae); cold processed, unrefined Moringa oil, also known as “Ben” or “Behen”oil, is very rich in Behenic acid, a fatty acid, that is important to help provide a protective barrier against the environment. It is used for its emollient and soothing properties, which help restore the skin’s natural lipid barrier and improve overall levels of hydration.
It can be used as an active ingredient or as an excellent carrier in skin and hair care products:
