Shea butter refined is obtained by fat extraction from the kernels of the fruit of the shea nut tree (Butyrospermum parkii) and subsequent refining.
This product is rich in oleic acid and stearic acid, high levels of unsaponifiables compounds (tocopherols, phytosterols, etc.)
Shea butter and its derivatives are long known in the cosmetic industry.
Among its properties, it helps viscosities in the formulas of creams, lotions, and makeup lines.
It helps in skin moisture retention, reducing the loss of trans-epidermal water from the film and giving the skin a different appearance and a silky sensory sensation.
Due to protection from free radicals and oxidation, Shea butter is well known for aiding epidermal regeneration and anti-inflammatory properties.
