Description
Cetrimonium bromide is a cationic surfactant belonging to the quaternary ammonium compounds. In cosmetic applications, it is mainly used for its conditioning, antistatic and detangling properties, particularly in hair care formulations.
In pharmaceutical and laboratory applications, it is also known for its antimicrobial activity and is used as an antiseptic agent or as a reagent in biochemical and analytical processes.
