Dehydroacetic acid
Dehydroacetic acid (DHA) is a pyrone derivative and has a white crystalline powder physical aspect. It is almost insoluble in water and moderately soluble in most organic solvents.
Applications
- Preservative and Fungicide particularly indicated for food and cosmetic applications
- Environmental friendly stabilizers for PVC films
- Agrochemical : Used in the synthesis of Mepanipyrim
- Anti-Enzyme in toothpastes
- Veterinary API : Used in the synthesis of Clopidol
- Precursor of dimethyl-4-pyridones
