1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DBDMH)
1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DBDMH) is used as bromine donor in chemical synthesis (a convenient alternative to NBS (N-bromosuccinimide) for the bromination of electron-rich arenes.
DBDMH is also used as antimicrobial in circulating water, swimming pool, spring, hospital sewage, food process and hotels.
Shelf Life
Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 24 months.
